In the years preceding World War II, when Hitler formed the Nazi Party, gradually launching a nationwide suffocation plan and setting about obliterating freedom of the press and shutting down parties, there was more or less this old assumption among people of other nations: “None of my business; that’s Germany, not my country!”.
Had the world objected to what Hitler was doing to his people, he would not have launched a devastating invasion on their countries a few years on, to commit horrendous atrocities in a war which shook the whole world and claimed 60 million lives.
